We like to tell our friends what we like and don’t like. We also want to know what our communicators that use AAC like. Try out this core word to find out what your communicator likes! Here are a few ideas for using the word like over and over:
*Use “I like it, I don’t like it” boards to create a visual of things the communicator likes and doesn’t like. Find the boards here.
*Create a power point story about things that the communicator likes and doesn’t like. Cut out pictures from a magazine, draw pictures, family adventure pictures, pictures from the park, whatever might be motivating to talk about to teach the work LIKE. Make a story out of the things you discover using the “I like it, I don’t like it” boards
*Google YouTube videos about teaching the word LIKE. You will find some quick fun videos teaching the sight work LIKE!
*Read stories with the word like in them. Focus on modeling (touching like on the device)
