The following items may be causing speech problems:
- Tap on Edit and make sure Speech Off is unchecked.
- Tap on Edit->General Settings and tap on the Voice tab. Review the voice settings to ensure they are correct, and be sure the volume is towards the loud setting.
- Perform a soft reset using a paper clip by pressing and releasing the recessed reset button on the back of the unit by the upper left rubber foot.
- If there still is no sound perform a hard reset by pressing and holding the I/O Power button. The screen will start to flash on and off. After it flashes on and off for the 3rd time, then release the I/O Power button and the unit will restart.
