This course will provide a brief overview of vocabulary options that are available with Chat Software on Saltillo devices (i.e. NOVA chat and Chat Fusion). Participants will learn basic programming skills to customize a client’s file. Participants will be provided with “hands-on” time to learn and customize vocabulary files and adjust settings to meet the needs of a client. Implementation tips and ideas will also be shared.

This presentation will focus exclusively on NOVA Chat and Chat Fusion Devices and will not include information regarding other similar or related applications.

Learner Outcomes

• Show two vocabulary options offered on the Nova Chat/Chat Fusion.
• Experiment with vocabulary options that offer a core language system.
• Complete basic editing tasks such as editing buttons to customize a vocabulary set.
• Demonstrate how to enable word finder and effectively use it to find a word within the vocabulary.
• Test the menu lock feature to lock out access to menus

25 minutes - Loading and copying vocabulary, Customizing buttons, copying and pasting buttons, & hiding/showing buttons
