Join us for an intriguing webinar as we explore the remarkable journeys of two Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) users who have achieved their dream of publishing their own books. In this webinar, our two guest speakers will share their personal stories, highlighting the challenges they faced, the strategies they employed, and the support systems that helped them succeed. We will discuss their individual books, My Big Toe: A Story of Perseverance by Chris Klein, and The Year of the Buttered Cat by Lexi and Susan Haas and provide time for questions and answers. Drawing of door prizes of their actual works will be offered.

• Name two strategies for supporting AAC users in developing their writing skills and achieving their publishing goals
• Describe the experiences and perspectives of AAC users and the importance of amplifying their voices
• List resources and support systems that can aid in the literacy development and publishing process for AAC users
