Instructor:
Margaret Anne Mary Moore is the author of the bestselling disability memoir Bold, Brave, and Breathless: Reveling in Childhood's Splendiferous Glories While Facing Disability and Loss (Woodhall Press, 2023). She is a summer 2022 graduate of Fairfield University’s Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing Program, where she earned a degree in creative nonfiction and poetry. Margaret is an editor and the marketing coordinator at Woodhall Press and works as an ambassador for PRC-Saltillo. She accesses an Accent speech generating device with joystick and eye tracking to support communication. She delivers presentations at national and international writing conferences. As her Girl Scout Gold Award project, Margaret founded The Yes You Can Movement, a presentation series and Facebook blog in which she shares her experiences as a disabled individual, motivational speaker, career woman, and para athlete. Named the 2023 Achilles Connecticut Athlete of the Year, she uses a walker to compete in 5K races and triathlons with Achilles International – Connecticut and Gaylord Sports Association’s ParaTriathalon Team and is a three-time paratriathlon relay team champion.
