WordPower™ Software by Inman Innovations, Inc.
WordPower™ combines the features of core vocabulary, spelling and word prediction. It was developed by Nancy Inman, MS, CCC-SLP as an alternative to traditional keyboards.
WordPower™ takes advantage of the fact that a core vocabulary of just 100 words accounts for approximately 50 percent of words spoken. This powerful system facilitates fast and efficient communication for nonspeaking individuals in a short period of time.
WordPower™ was developed for those wanting more than just a system based on spelling and word prediction and don't want to learn a complex language coding system.
The core words in WordPower™ are categorized, color-coded and alphabetized for easy access.

WordPower™for ECO 14
WordPower™and Picture WordPower for Prentke Romich's ECO-14 have been designed to make speech generation easy and natural. In addition to these logical and intuitive vocabularies, WordPower™ and Picture WordPower serve as the interface for the integrated ECO computer. The system operator can move smoothly between communicating with the device, navigating the internet, playing games on the computer, sending e-mail, and generating documents using WordPower vocabularies.
This word-based, generative language system has been customized for a variety of users. Prentke Romich's new 'pagelets' facilitate word completion and logical next word prediction. This powerful system facilitiates fast and efficient communication in a short period of time.
WordPower™ for Vanguard/Vantage Lite
WordPower™for Vanguard/Vantage Lite is designed to run on a Vanguard or Vantage communication device from Prentke Romich Company.
WordPower™ OnBoard
WordPower™ OnBoard is a manual communication board based on the original WordPower vocabulary design by Nancy Inman. WordPower™ is composed of the 100 most common words in our language that account for approximately 50 percent of words spoken. This low-tech version of WordPower™ can serve to augment communication on its own, or be used as a back-up for individuals who also use a communication device.
WordPower™ OnBoard was designed to be customized to an individual's needs with blank cells for the addition of words, phrases and sentences. This two-sided, sturdy board is ideal for literate individuals who can point to words with their fingers, or for patients who may need to access the non-glare board via a light-pointer.
