The recent shift to remote/distance learning has required us to pivot our strategies for supporting AAC learners. We are now relying on digital platforms and materials to provide support, which has created quite the learning curve. As we quickly adapt our well-laid plans we will look at tips to make teletherapy for AAC users engaging, effective, and manageable.

One silver lining of remote learning is the increased involvement of parents and caregivers. We should look beyond our direct teletherapy sessions and plan for coaching and carryover of skills. Come learn how to structure your online lessons, make engaging videos with AAC modeling, and involve parents and caregivers in sessions that they can easily recreate the later at home.
